Shania Twain’s new album, Little Miss Twain, is full of unexpected moments, but one of its biggest surprises is her collaboration with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme on “Faded Blue Jeans.” The pairing may seem unlikely at first, but Twain says it came together naturally.
While working on the song with producers Zach Dawes and T Bone Burnett, Homme’s name came up. His raw, unmistakable style adds another layer of emotion to a track that reflects on teenage rebellion, first love, and the memories that stay with us long after they’ve faded.
We definitely didn’t have Shania Twain and Josh Homme on our bingo card, but we’re glad we got it!
