After a historic journey around the moon on the Artemis II spacecraft, Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen reflects on the mission, his future goals, and his love of space.
He recently sat down with Q107 Toronto’s Fearless Fred to talk about how space exploration interested him as a child and how being over a million kilometres away from Earth changes one’s perspective. Seeing our planet as a distant ball of light through the window of the spacecraft made him realize that at the end of the day, we should all see ourselves as humans working together for the betterment of all.
He continued by saying the focus should not be on his individual achievements, but as inspiration for fellow Canadians.
“It’s not about a person, it’s about what we can do. As long as everything that shines a light on me reflects back on Canada, I’m OK with it.”
