Here, we go back to 2017, when The Beaches performed their single “Money” at Sugar Beach, one of their early shows, pulled from the Corus Radio vault.
Since that moment, they’ve come a long way. Tours, album releases, late-night performances, awards.
Of course, winning awards is a major achievement for any artist. But winning one on home court? Everything. Last year, they were crowned Band of the Year at The JUNOS, right here in Canada.
Today, it was announced they’ve been nominated once again for the honour. Plus, their new album No Hard Feelings earned a nomination for JUNO Rock Album of the Year.
The cherry on top: the girls are also being recognized as songwriters, with another nomination for JUNO Songwriter of the Year.
At this point, it’s less about if they’ll keep winning. It’s more about how many times we’ll be saying “remember when.”
