Ongoing History Daily: How long did it take to pull the Oasis reunion together?

When the Oasis reunion tour was formally announced in August 2024, preparations had been underway long before that.

Noel and Liam had recording and touring commitments that needed to be honoured. Noel was going through a divorce. Venues had to be scouted and booked. Merch deals had to be made, and production ramped up. Arrangements had to be made for gear, trucks, and roadies. Contracts had to be written, vetted, debated, and signed. And it was all done on the hush-hush. The tour itself was in pre-production for at least 14 months. The number of NDAs signed must have been absolutely staggering.

For something so big, there were precious few leaks. Information that did come out was dismissed as wishful thinking. At some point, we’ll get a documentary showing how this all came together to create a tour that grossed US$550 million over 41 shows, 142 days, and five continents.

I can’t wait for the documentary.
