In a 2018 interview, Elle King talked about how she makes music and how different things are for new artists now. She mentioned that with YouTube, the way people get famous has really changed, and she’s not always sure how much work it takes for artists to blow up online.
King said she put a ton of effort into making her song “Ex’s & Oh’s” from her 2015 album Love Stuff successful. She also shared that she doesn’t worry too much about social media and tries not to get caught up in it.
