Jordan Miller Reveals Her Favourite (and Least Favourite) Song on The Beaches’ new album

Coming off the success of their first album, lead vocalist and guitarist Jordan Miller of The Beaches says she felt anxious about releasing their latest record, No Hard Feelings. “I think anytime a band garners a bit of success it can be a little bit intimidating approaching the next project.”
However, since its August 2025 release, the album has already begun making its way up the Canadian charts. On their official X account, @TheBeaches reported that it’s the number one alternative album in Canada. It’s no surprise. While the band has enjoyed viral success in the past (thanks in part to social media) it’s more than that. The songs on the release span a massive range of sounds and moods, from high-energy alt-girl rock to emotional storytelling.

When it comes to her favourite song to sing off the album, Miller says, “Lesbian of the Year…we sorta do a stripped back version of it…it’s about Leandra’s (Earl) experience, but, you know, when I approached writing it and when I approach performing it, it’s like I’m singing to the younger version of my best friend, you know?”

Her least favourite makes perfect sense: “I’m going through a breakup right now, so my least favourite is the song about my ex-boyfriend.”

Of course.
