Squid, the band from Brighton, is getting ready to release a new album entitled Cowards. This single, the follow-up to a track called Crispy Skin, was inspired by a trip to Japan where they were among the first foreign bands to be allowed in the COVID travel ban. Because there were so few tourists in Tokyo at the time, the song tries to capture the loneliness and emptiness the band felt.
