Another pick of an up-and-coming Canadian act this week in the form of Steve Creep & The Wildcards.
During the pandemic, producer Tom Shemer (The Damn Truth) recorded four songs with Steve playing all the instruments. Things worked out so well that a full band was required (Scott Mitchell on bass, Phil De Sessa on guitar and Will Laurin on drums). Many gigs followed.
The band is now on their second single (this song) having played shows throughout Ontario and Quebec with an east coast tour planned in August. Their sound is influenced by 70’s, 80’s and 90’s most notably from band like Green Day and Cheap Trick. Great meat-and-potatoes stuff.
