The annual RBC Race for the Kids is returning to Heritage Park on September 8. This family-friendly day includes a scenic 6-km run, a pancake breakfast and a whole lot of fun. You can also choose to complete a shorter circuit inside the park – this is a favourite among families with little ones. Registration includes a race T-shirt, an environmentally friendly completion medal for each participant, free parking, all-day access to Heritage Park, and more.
Now in its eighth year, the RBC Race for the Kids funds programs and services that support the increasing number of kids in our community who are accessing much-needed mental health resources. The race supported the creation of Calgary’s first community-based mental health centre for kids, The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience, which opened its doors in the spring of 2023, and will fund programs and research specific to youth mental health that will help kids now and for generations to come.
